Grown Ups

Stars Playgroup

Ministry-StarsPlaygroupSea Stars Playgroup runs every Thursday morning throughout the school term, from 9:30am to 11:30am.

We welcome families with children aged 0-5 years. Sea Stars aims to provide a caring, nurturing and structured environment where children have the opportunity to interact with others and develop social skills, as well as participate in activities that will help prepare them for kindergarten.  Each week children participate in singing, story time and a special craft activity, as well as plenty of free play. Mums have the opportunity to socialise and share morning tea and a cuppa.

A supervised crèche is available for both of our services on Sundays.

Sunday @ 9:30 Service

A supervised crèche operates every Sunday morning for babies up to 23 months old.  Parents leaving children in the crèche need to sign in and ensure the volunteers are aware of any special requirements.  If you are a regular attendee you will be asked to fill in a registration form for your child, alerting us of any medical or other important information.  Parents are encouraged to put themselves on the supervision roster once a term.  The crèche opens at 9:20am on a Sunday morning and will be supervised until the conclusion of the church service.

Sunday @ 6 Service

Since there are a lot of young families who attend our Sunday night service, there is a supervised crèche that runs during the service. For the slightly older children (up to early primariy school), one of the crèche supervisors share a Bible story, sometimes a song and a simple craft activity with them. The Sunday school lesson only runs though the school term.

Prime Time

Prime Time is a walking group for retirees and others in that age bracket. The group provides a social environment to connect with other and to invite our friends and neighbours along to. Walks are fortnightly on Mondays and often meet at the church building to car pool to another location. In cooler months the group meets in the mornings and in the warmer months in the evenings. Recent highlights include lunch at Walyunga, the tulips at Areluen, Matilda Bay, and the nearby ocean front and sunsets. Their prayer is for more people to join the walks and form close links with each other and the church community.

For more information about Prime Time please contact the Church Office.
