Men's ministry
at North
Beach exists to glorify God by;
Encouraging men to be authentic followers of Jesus, living with
God orientated priorities in every area of life.
Equipping men to be effective in serving Jesus in their families,
among God’s people, in the workplace and in the world.
Men, whether young, middle aged or more mature lead very busy lives in today’s world and often have very demanding work schedules and challenges in their daily lives. At North Beach we feel that is important for men to encourage each other to share and develop authentic and accountable relationships based on God’s Word. We seek to implement these values through various activities organised by the men’s ministry team. Our regular Men’s Breakfasts are aimed at providing the opportunity to get some valuable input from a speaker on issues that are especially pertinent to the challenges that men face in their walk with God. The breakfasts also allow men to enjoy building relationships, by reconnecting with old friends and making some new ones as well
as enjoying some great food. This is a time for men to be encouraged, have fun and most importantly to be inspired and empowered to serve God in their lives.
NEXT MEN'S BREAKFAST EVENT 2008:
Saturday 5th April -
The
men will be gathering again to have breakfast at 07:30am and listen to our guest speaker.
A great breakfast will be
served up as usual. Please contact the church on 9448 7018 if you are interested in attending. New visitors are most welcome.
Outreach is a priority and at least once a year a dinner is planned where men can invite male family and friends. Much care is taken to ensure the gospel is clearly explained and in a way that is non-threatening and encourages conversation. As members of the community the men’s ministry also seeks to serve the wider community by getting involved in social action initiatives. This varies from providing practical help at the school busy bees to volunteering at an aged care facilities.
Two to three times a year the men also try to get out and socialize by organising golf days, bowling nights, and fishing trips. These are great opportunities to build friendships, and have some fun together. There are also smaller groups of men who meet fortnightly for fellowship, prayer and bible study. The definition of a man in society is constantly changing. Men’s ministry want to encourage men to seek, develop and strive to become Men that honor God in their workplaces, in their families and in this world. For more information please contact the church office on 9448 7018.
