The Team

Senior Pastor
Tony Spencer

Tony Spencer joined the pastoral team at North Beach Baptist Church in January 2000 and was appointed Senior Pastor in August 2003. Having grown up in W.A he has lived and worked all over the state. After spending 2 years in aboriginal work in the Kimberley's, Tony returned to Perth to commence studies at Trinity Theological College.

For the last year of his studies he was also serving as pastoral intern of the Melville Baptist Church and upon completion of his studies received a call to North Beach.

A Christ-centered evangelical, Tony's desire is to see people won to Christ, growing as Christians towards maturity, and also being equipped for their individual ministry. He is married to Michelle and has four children.

Associate Pastor for Youth
Craig Eccleston

Craig commenced as Associate Pastor with responsibility for youth in January 2004. He was born in New South Wales and attended Narwee Baptist Church with his family. In 1998 he moved to Western Australia to be state marketing manager for ATL Ultrasound, having previously been an avionics technician with Qantas. He married Kylie and they moved back to NSW for Craig to study at Morling College

(the Baptist Theological College of NSW).

On completion of his training he readily accepted a call to North Beach Baptist Church to minister to youth. Craig says his major focus of ministry is to preach and teach the Word of God, to pastorally care for people, to train people to evangelize, and to initiate and implement new ministries. Craig and Kylie have two young children.

Associate Pastor for Children and Families
Mark Parsons

Mark is the newest member of the pastoral team accepting a call to minister at North Beach in January 2005. He was not new to North Beach as he had previously been a pastoral intern for two years previous to his appointment while he finished his studies at Trinity theological college. Mark's areas or ministry and responsibility are primarily with children and families and overseeing home fellowship groups.

Mark and his wife Tracey have been members at NBBC since 1999 since migrating from South Africa. He has had significant experience in the workforce before entering theological studies and responding to Gods call towards full-time ministry. Mark has a clear passion for children's ministry and as a young family man with two young children himself, is well-suited to the role he has been appointed to.

Part Time Children’s Worker

Diane Harvey

Diane began attending North Beach Baptist Church when she started dating Sam Harvey in 2005. They were married in 2006 and she became a member of NBBC in the same year. She was working in the children’s ministry in a voluntary capacity throughout 2006 and was appointed as Children’s ministry worker one day per week for 2007. She is trained as a primary school teacher and has taught in the Pilbara, in Scotland and in Perth. She graduated from Trinity Theological College in 2005 with a Master of Divinity. She loves singing ABBA songs with gusto!
