Women’s ministry
at North
Beach
through dependence on God seeks to:
 Encourage
women to serve and motivate one another on to
maturity in
Christ.
Enable
women to develop their spiritual gifts in order to
build up the
church and reach out to the community with
the
Gospel of Christ.
The lives and
roles of women over the last few decades have changed dramatically.
With that in mind we at
North
Beach are striving to find ways in which to encourage women no
matter what season of life they find themselves in.
“Refresh” is our
key event which invites women to enjoy a relaxed environment where
women from across many generations meet for mutual encouragement.
Through out the evening women will hear about the stories of others
and be challenged by the words of a guest speaker. Refresh is
created to give women a chance to meet new people, revive
friendships, and engage in meaningful conversations. We all lead
busy lives and it helps to have some time set aside to consider our
relationship with God and value the relationships we have with one
another.
REFRESH
EVENTS THIS YEAR 2007:
Saturday September 8th - " Well Being"
a social event to raise funding for water in Malawi.
Thursday November 29th - Christmas refresh
evening.
The women of
North
Beach
also meet regularly in other settings to connect with one another.
A number of ministries already provide places for women to catch up,
perhaps at playgroup with their small children as or at share in
while they express some creativity. A number of women’s home groups
meet through out the week in homes as well as at the church to study
the bible and share the ups and downs of life. There are groups that
catering to older women as well as young mums.
