Meet the Team
Grant has been Senior Pastor of NBBC since early 2012, after 14 years of pastoral ministry in beautiful Busselton. Prior to that, he thoroughly enjoyed working as a pharmacist. Grant and his wife Maree have three adult children, Ashlynne, Caleb & Breanna. In the rare moments of spare time, Grant loves creating things in his shed, and going on 4WD camping holidays. Grant is convinced that the life message of Jesus lives on through the local church, and that there is no situation, life, family or city that God can’t restore and renew. Grant sees his role as being a ‘leader of leaders’ to equip, encouraging and release others into ministry to grow God’s kingdom in the northern suburbs of Perth and to the ends of the earth.
Pastor: Sunday at 6
Brad started working at North Beach in mid-2016. Before joining the NBBC team Brad has served in ministry at Curtin University with the students in the AFES Christian Union, and was also pastor at Dalkeith Baptist Church. Brad enjoys opening the Bible with people and helping them to consider Jesus and His gospel. Brad is married to Shona and has three daughters and enjoys time with the family playing games or enjoying a pizza and movie night together. For Brad a nice day off is a mixture of exercise (running or swimming), along with music and coffee.
Pastor: Youth and Young Adults
Anton commenced working as Youth and Young Adults Pastor in 2020, and before that was a long team member, ministry leader and pastoral intern at NBBC (attending the church since 2007). Anton is married to Sharon and has two primary school aged children. Anton is passionate about leading a team of dedicated youth leaders, and together with them walking beside the youth and young adults at NBBC. His desire and earnest prayer is that youth and young adults would be excited about taking hold of the hope that is in Jesus and equipped to live out a life that honours Jesus in response. In all we do, we seek to love Jesus together, serve Jesus together and share Jesus together. Anton enjoys sport (basically anything with a ball!), playing games of all sorts, and reading.
Pastor of Group Life
I became a Christian at the age of 16 in a little hand made brick gospel church in Balcatta. That is where I learnt to love, care and serve. It was there where I met and married my wife Johanna six years later. We have three children 2 sons and a daughter, with six grandchildren 5 boys and A granddaughter. Did an apprenticeship in spray painting at 15 and still at 80 have a spray gun in hand. Opened Merv’s spray painters, then Hodge smash repairs with my brother Wayne, If you didn’t dodge come to Hodge. Then I became a TAFE lecturer for the next 34 years. Always involved in Church leadership, Christian Schools and Christian Youth camps. We have been attending NBBC for the past 28 years, much of that time as an elder, then for the last 7 years as a pastor.
Childrens Ministry Team Leader
Hayley Pearce joined the NBBC ministry team at the start of 2020 as the Children’s Ministry Team Leader. She has a background in primary school teaching and photography. Born and raised in South Africa, she is a carnivore who loves to put sugar on almost everything. She has been married for 15 year to Duane, and they have a fur baby called Cinnamon. Throughout all her previous vocational experiences, Hayley believes that God had been preparing her for this ministry. She has a strong sense of God’s calling on her life into children’s ministry and is excited about the direction NB Kids is moving towards. At the moment, Hayley is also endeavouring to complete a Graduate Diploma of Divinity through Trinity Theological College. This has been greatly beneficial to her own spiritual growth and the overseeing of the children’s ministry. Hayley loves to dance and sing! She is always enthusiastically willing and to express herself through song, at any moment of the day or given opportunity.
Childrens Ministry Support Worker (AM)
Childrens Ministry Support Worker (S@6)
After being invited to join the NBBC Sportsfest team in 2006 by her older sister, Verity made North Beach Baptist her ‘home’ and hasn’t looked back since. She has been heavily involved in the church since then, especially with kids and youth ministries, and considers it a joy to be able to serve the Lord by serving others. Verity works part time as a primary school Indonesian teacher and is currently working one day a week in a Children’s Ministry support role, more specifically, coordinating NBKids@6 and helping run King’s Club alongside Hayley. Verity is married to Darrell, a wonderfully supportive husband who helps her do “all the things”, and together, have three lovely young children, Evelyn, Archie and Pippa. Verity also loves to bake in her spare time (what even is that with three kids?!) and is known to make delicious sweet treats like macarons, slices and cinnamon scrolls.

Womens Ministry Leader
Jacqui enjoys the colour yellow and the musical Hamilton. She also has a Bachelor of Ministries and a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Science. Her desire is to weave these two disciplines together to help people walk life’s peaks, troughs and plateaus in the wisdom, healing & purpose that comes from knowing God. As such, Jacqui loves studying the Bible and teaching its life-giving truths. In other news, Jacqui is the wife of Eustin the Engineer and mother of Dr. Watson the Maroodle.
Kaye is the mother of three wonderful adult children and their lovely spouses, granny to an ever growing number of grandies and grand-dogs. She has always loved being a ‘mum’ and finds wearing the hat of being a ‘granny’ the best ever. Kaye has loved being a part of the NBBC family for the past 20+ years, learning lots along the way. Kaye is practically part of the furniture in the office, saying she was ‘terrified to begin with but in reality finds it a real blessing, privilege and joy to be in this God given role, working alongside this great team, getting to know people and seeing how God takes them along their journey’. She enjoys a good movie and loves watching basketball (especially if she knows any of the players)!
Specialist Pastoral Carer
Helen has been attending NBBC since 1970 and worked for many years in a Pathology Laboratory doing Cyto-Technology. In 2002 she retired and trained as a Chaplain (Clinical Pastoral Education) and worked in the Mount Hospital and as Locum at Hollywood Hospital. She loves to visit Aged Care homes, people in palliative care, people who are frail as well as anyone else the Lord leads her to for conversation, prayer and Bible reading as appropriate. Helen loves to hear their life stories and helping them see how trusting God can resolve issues in their lives. She also loves to meet visitors to NBBC and she and Chris host “Visitor Connect” BBQ’s every 6 weeks or so at their home.
Jessie has attended North Beach Baptist Church since 2016 and his thoroughly enjoyed the Jesus-centred teaching and community North Beach offers. He can often be seen stage left on a Sunday serving on the Music team. Other than music, Jessie’s passions lie in seeing the Bible effectively communicated and watching it change people’s lives. Particularly the lives of the young people he ministers to as a part of the Youth team. Much of Jessie’s week is spent at Trinity Theological College where he is a full-time student. He is excited to learn more and use some of what he has learned at college in a practical setting as a student minister at North Beach. When not at college or at church, Jessie enjoys spending time listening to or playing music, playing soccer, and hanging out with friends.
Ministry Training Strategy (MTS) Apprentice
Michael has been attending NBBC since May 2019 and began working as a full-time ministry apprentice in July 2021. He has worked in a variety of jobs, but loves the home he has found here and the wonderful staff team he gets to walk alongside. He has a passion for working with youth & young adults and loves seeing them grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus. Michael's weeks are full of exciting opportunities: reading the Bible 1-to-1; studying at Trinity Theological College; Friday night youth group; Sunday morning youth Bible studies; staff meetings; as well as getting involved in the Sunday services. He has recently joined the mission team and is excited to encourage people to take the greatest news ever told, the Gospel, overseas as long-term, cross-cultural missionaries. When he's away from the office, you'll most likely find him contemplating life as he walks by the sea, listening to country music, or out on the golf course.

Rebecca began working full-time as a ministry apprentice March 2023. She is enjoying serving God by working with the youth and in women’s ministry alongside Jacqui and Anton. Publishing and Communications
Michelle joined the NBBC staff team in 2016 as the Publishing and Communications officer. Working in this role has been a tremendous blessing that has enabled her to use her creativity in a way that serves the Lord and His people while also working alongside such a fantastic and encouraging team and getting to know all the wonderful people that make up this church family. Michelle met her husband, Sean, while serving as leaders in Boys’ Brigade and are still leaders every Monday nights sharing their love for Jesus with the brigaders. When Michelle is not at church, you can find her with endless cups of tea and a book (or kindle) in hand or playing video games.
